We had an awesome first rehearsal this past Thursday, with approximately 90 people showing up! It was a great time to get to know some of you as well as doing a full run-through of "O Fortuna." Thanks to everyone who came out, we hope to see you back for the rest of the term!
Our rehearsal room has moved to Images Theatre in RCB starting this Thursday (January 26), and we'll be there for most of the rest of the semester. If you forget, we'll have signs at Blusson Hall to remind people.
Another awesome semester at the SFU Choir is here!
EDIT: More changes! Our first rehearsal will be in Blusson Hall and not Images Theatre. The first day of Choir will be January 19th, 5:30pm in Blusson Hall 9660. Sorry for the inconvenience!

After an incredible concert less than three weeks ago, we are madly preparing for a new semester of pure awesome. Click here for a sample of what's to come this semester.
The SFU Choir's annual Winter Concert is coming up, and this year we will be performing the beautiful and enigmatic Requiem by John Rutter. Featuring the SFU Choir, a chamber orchestra, and Soprano soloist Gillian Ramsay, this is an event not to be missed.
EDIT: 2011/09/20: Confirmed. We are moving to Images Theatre for this semester.
We were stunned by the incredible turnout last night. More than 120 of you showed up and we sounded magnificent right off the starting block. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and will be able to make it back next week!
That's right, the long-awaited first choir rehearsal is TOMORROW! That's Thursday, September 15th from 5:30 to 7:30pm in EDUC 7610. We're looking forward to seeing you there. We'll have a chance to sing, socialise, and enjoy some free food as well! Bring a pencil to mark up music, and as many friends as you can (especially Tenors, a rare creature and worth extra points in our bring a friend contest!). Remember, no experience is necessary, and most of us who have been here for a while were just as nervous as you at our first rehearsal. We hope you can come, you're going to love it!
So, we're almost ready to begin another fabulous term of amazing music and fun shenanigans, tom foolery, and dare I say ballyhoo?
The first choir rehearsal is booked and ready to go.
When: Thursday, September 15th, 5:30pm
Where: SFU Burnaby, Education Building Room 7610
(Education Building is Directly to the North of the AQ, entrance to the left of Renaissance Coffee on the 3rd floor concourse)
What: Bring a pencil, choir dues, and a TENOR!*
